  1. Regarding the Washington Post article written by an 8th grade boy… watch this video of Sue Pimentel and listen how she has created the framing propaganda to trick parents and teachers into thinking that there will be careful attention to reading founding documents. This is what Saul Alinsky said in “Rules for Radicals” to be sure to “use the language of those you wish to manipulate”. Edward Bernays and Sigmund Freud. She illustrates in doing so with this video what they intend to do with our children. This is bait-and-switch. The ” informational text example” from the eighth grader’s test, read in its entirety, exemplifies the deception, and this is just one tiny slice of the pie.

    Anti-scholarly writing, banal story, pushing a subliminal political worker party messages and product placement. And the fact that they refuse to show parents the tests also is evidence against these people. Next read on in the Washington Post piece and see how Pearson twists around in its lies. When you have studied Sir Michael Barber and his cohorts, it is very clear what their intentions are and they can only squirm.

    the whole idea of ” deep engagement ” in anything!, suggested by any kind by strangers or trusted adults is plain old creepy and inappropriate use of language for a professional and especially one dealing with children. it is a giveaway in my mind of the malintent of the common core and its cohorts.
    Here in this huffpo article by ms. pimentel she makes the case for their BRAND, COMMON CORE, still illogical, and manipulative using the word “MUST” according to CCSS. WE MUST OBEY. the emphasis on literary fiction may have some truth to it but the selections and the methods created by these two as illustrated by this test are not to enjoy great writing and to be swept away in your individual thoughts while reading, they are designed to insert propaganda and manipulate using psychological techniques a la conditioning and cognitive restructuring. Like me many parents are ” engaging deeply” with their kids homework and collecting offensive examples for future use.

    {{{The Standards could not be clearer: ELA classrooms must focus on literature — that is not negotiable, but a requirement of high school ELA. On page 5 of the Standards — where the distinction between literature and informational text is introduced — there is an explicit, unambiguous statement regarding the balance of texts relative to the disciplines covered by the Standards:

    … the ELA classroom must focus on literature (stories, drama, and poetry) as well as literary non-fiction, [and] a great deal of informational reading in grades 6-12 must take place in other classes…}}}

    WE MUST OBEY HER, YOU HEARD IT.

    PA SAY NO COMMON CORE
  2. BE SURE TO TAKE CAREFUL NOTE OF THE UNESCO SYMBOL IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THIS VIDEO IN THE TITLE SEQUENCE AND AT THE END.

    PA SAY NO COMMON CORE
